ORDER INFORMATION

Deliveries

Your orders are shipped worldwide by Switzerland Post maximum within 2 days after the order (see in the cart our shipping costs and delivery deadlines by country).

The shipping costs are at your charge and are displayed at the checkout before validation of the order. They are calculated according to the destination, weight and volume of the product, and not with the package, because our items vary a lot in weight and size. For international deliveries, please note that any customs and/or VAT charges may be applied to the delivery and will be invoiced directly by your customs autorities.

In case of an order with several items in the same cart, the different weights are cumulated. But it may happen that we are obliged, when packing your order, to carry out separate packages either because all the items cannot be packed in a standard parcel post, or to protect the selected products as far as possible from possible breakage. In these cases, we may contact you to adjust the shipping costs before shipping.

We are not responsible for packages stolen during deliveries in case of absence of the recipient. If you want to avoid parcels placed outside by post in your absence, please contact us for deliveries WITH SIGNATURE, but please note that the extra cost of this type of delivery is at your charge.

To preserve the environment, we use packaging recovered but in perfect condition to ship your parcels. But rest assured that the items are perfectly packaged before shipping.

Returns & Exchanges

We do everything to satisfy you. First by selecting quality items, and then making an important quality control before each shipment. But we will understand completely that on arrival, an article does not give you complete satisfaction or that a defect occurred during transport. You then have 7 days from receipt of the item to return it to us at your expense, either for exchange or for refund.

However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that these are handmade products and there may be some small specificities due to its artisanal production. We thank you then for your willingness to keep the product in the state knowing that you contribute by your purchase to value the work of the artisans who in Africa take hours, or even days to realize them and who thanks to this craftsmanship, take care of their families. And since shipping costs are your responsibility, it is important to measure the cost of the return compared to the “defect” of the product.

Please let us know the default and the return by email and tell us if you want a refund or an exchange. In case of exchange, it is possible to choose another product of equivalent value. Note that in case of refund, the amount refunded is the one paid during your order without shipping costs.

Privacy policy

When you register on our website, we collect your personal data such as name, surname, address, telephone, email and, if applicable, your banking details. This information is used solely in the context of the commercial relationship with Ikama and are not in any case disclosed or resold to third parties. Only our partners such as the post office or shipping companies can access it for the shipment of your parcels.

In addition, your bank information (card number, expiry date, cryptogram) are never in our possession since the banking transactions are processed directly and completely secure by our payment partners.

Please note that at any time you can log in to our website to unsubscribe from our newsletter or to completely delete your account; it will no longer be available in our database. We guarantee the absolute security of your personal data and the trust you give us by registering on our website is essential for us.

General Terms and Conditions of sale

1. Scope of agreement

These general conditions apply between the buyer (hereinafter named “the customer”) and “Ikama”, and by placing an order on our website ikama-art.com or by email, the customer accepts these general conditions of sale.

No general conditions differing from those mentioned below, apply to the commercial relationship between the client and Ikama.

2. Orders

Ikama accepts orders from customers residing all over the world. Before placing an order, the customer must first register by providing all information required, namely the surname, first name, full address, an email, telephone number and accept the general conditions as well as our data protection policy.

After having selected the elements relating to the desired article, the customer adds them to his cart and then validates the order. The latter is confirmed by an email after payment by the customer, but the order becomes effective only after the items have been sent by Ikama. The customer can no longer cancel an online order after validation has been processed. The customer may however, communicate with us, within 24 hours via email, expressing their desire to cancel the order, provided that it has not yet been dispatched.

Despite our desire to regularly update our stock of items on the website, it may happen that a product available at the time of purchase is no longer available at the time of dispatch and therefore obliges us to carry out either the partial or total cancellation of the order. In such a case, we apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.

For customer special orders, that is, products that are not available on our website, which are manufactured uniquely for the customer, cannot be cancelled under any circumstance and we request an advanced deposit payment (to be discussed with the customer) to secure the order.

3. Price

The prices applied on the ikama-art.com site are displayed in the currency or currencies clearly specified on the website and include VAT but do not include shipping costs. The customer can therefore, if necessary choose the currency in which he wishes to pay for his order.

The final price payable by the customer includes any discounts or promotions of the day as well as the shipping costs. Once the order is confirmed, the price paid by the customer can no longer be changed.

The prices displayed online are set by Ikama and can be modified at any time without prior notice.

4. Delivery: Fees and Delivery schedules

Shipping costs are at the customer’s charge and depend on the delivery destination as well as the weight and volume of the order. These costs are visible to the customer after specifying the shipping address, but before confirming the order. Ikama reserves the right to offer free delivery promotions at any time with a minimum purchase amount.

Any customs fees linked to international deliveries are also at the customer’s expense and are invoiced directly by the customs service of the country concerned.

Shipments are made by post within 2 days of ordering, in “economy” Post option. The costs and delivery times per country are available on the website, but the delivery times are only an estimation and Ikama does not accept order cancellations for non-compliance with the delivery deadline.

The customer may request express delivery by email and will assume any additional costs.

The package is under the responsibility of Ikama from the departure of the premises to the delivery or attempted delivery to the customer. It becomes the responsibility of the customer as soon as the postman delivers the package, leaves a notice of delivery or deposits the package to the recipient address.

Sending registered delivery packages is at the request of the customer and the costs are at his expense.

5. Returns, Exchanges and Refund

Items ordered on the Ikama website can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of receipt of the goods with the proof of purchase and at the address indicated for returns. Return costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Returned items must be complete, in their original condition and carefully packaged for return. Ikama reserves the right to refuse any reimbursement to the customer if they consider that the items have been damaged by the customer or if the item was returned in a non-compliant packaging. The item(s) in this case, will be returned to the customer at his expense.

Tailor made items or items personalised for the customer cannot in any case be returned or exchanged.

In the event of an exchange, the shipping costs are at the customer’s expense for all items received in accordance with the order and without defect. If on the other hand the items do not conform to the order (model, quantity, color, size) or are damaged during the shipment to the customer, the costs of sending new items are at Ikama’s expense.

In case of partial delivery, it is the delivery date of each individual package which determines the possible return date.

The reimbursement is made in the same payment method used by the customer when ordering.

6. Product verification time

The customer must imperatively check the condition of the goods upon receipt and notify Ikama within 2 days of any apparent defects. Without notice from the customer within the aforementioned period, the products are considered to have been received in good condition and will not in any case be accepted in return on the grounds of being damaged or defective.

7. Differences

The articles sold on the Ikama website correspond to real products presented in the form of digital images. Consequently, there may be minor differences between the image and the actual product which cannot in any case be considered as defects. Ikama will not accept returns for this reason.

8. Payment

Payment on the Ikama website can be made by Paypal, credit card (Visa and Mastercard), and bank transfer.

By placing an order on the Ikama website, the customer authorizes Ikama to carry out credit checks with approved organizations. Ikama can therefore refuse, if necessary, to conclude a contract with the customer.

The customer understands and accepts that his payment can pass through an approved financial intermediary.

In the event of payment by Paypal, an order confirmation will be sent by email to the customer and the customer’s account will only be debited when the goods are dispatched.

In case of payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), the customer’s credit card will be charged when the goods are shipped. Therefore, if one or more items ordered by the customer are cancelled or sold out, the corresponding amount will not be charged to the customer’s credit card.

If payment is made by bank transfer, the customer will use the bank details indicated by Ikama on the website and the goods will only be sent after receipt of the transfer to Ikama’s bank account. There is no charge for a bank transfer.

9. Personal data protection

When the customer places an order with Ikama, personal data are collected and are subject to computer processing. Ikama ensures that customer data are processed in accordance with current legislation. These data are used for the recording and processing of orders and are never shared or sold to third parties. Bank information are used only by our financial partners in the context of commercial transactions between the customer and Ikama. The customer can at any time request the deletion of his data from the Ikama database.

10. Modification of the general conditions

Ikama reserves the right to unilaterally modify its general conditions at any time without notice. However, the general conditions to be taken into account for an order are those in force at the time of its conclusion.

11. Applicable law and competent courts.

These general conditions and all subsequent orders are governed by Swiss law. All disputes will be settled by a court of competent courts in Lausanne.
